# Building Matibabu.tz — Simplifying Healthcare Access
One thing I’ve realized is that getting healthcare in a new city or country can be stressful. You don’t know which hospital to trust, which doctor is actually good, or even where to start. That’s exactly the problem Matibabu.tz is trying to solve.
Matibabu.tz is a healthcare facilitation platform that helps patients access treatment in Tanzania and India. Instead of patients struggling to arrange everything on their own, the platform helps connect them with hospitals, specialists, transportation, and accommodation throughout the treatment process.
When I started working on the project, I wanted the website to feel simple and welcoming. Healthcare websites can sometimes feel too technical or overwhelming, especially for someone already dealing with medical concerns. So the focus was creating something clear, calm, and easy to navigate.
The first thing I worked on was the user journey. I imagined someone landing on the website for the first time, probably searching for treatment options while feeling anxious or unsure. The experience needed to answer their questions quickly and build trust immediately.
The website guides users through understanding the services offered, choosing whether they want treatment in Tanzania or India, learning how the process works, and submitting their information for consultation. Everything was designed to feel straightforward without too much clutter.
On the design side, I kept the layout clean and modern. I used soft spacing, readable typography, and responsive sections that work smoothly across both desktop and mobile devices. Since many users may visit from their phones, mobile responsiveness was very important throughout development.
For the technology stack, I used Next.js with React and Tailwind CSS. Next.js made it easier to build a fast and optimized website, while Tailwind CSS helped me move quickly when building custom layouts and responsive designs.
One thing I enjoyed most about this project was that it wasn’t just another business website. It solves a real problem. Many people struggle with accessing quality healthcare simply because they don’t know where to begin. Matibabu.tz helps make that process easier and less stressful.
In the end, the goal was simple: create a platform that feels trustworthy, professional, and easy to use while helping patients focus more on getting treatment and less on logistics.
